Edmund H. Zwiernik, 84, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Zwiernik was born July 15, 1928 in Detroit, MI. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for over one year, coming from Capac, MI.
Prior to his retirement he worked as a test driver, and was a certified mechanic for the Ford Motor Co. for 20 years. While working at Ford he also owned his own furnace repair and maintenance business.
He attended Faith Baptist Church in Vero Beach.
Edmund was very active in the Memphis Free Methodist Church in Michigan.
Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Schook (Ed) of Sebastian; Kathy Barfield (Leon) of Arizona; Bonnie Calhoun of Vero Beach; Etta Clark of Michigan; son, Ron Zwiernik (Alice) of Cape Coral; brothers, Conrad Zwiernik and John Zwiernik both of Michigan; sister, Mary Jane Zorlen of Michigan; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Alma Mae Zwiernik.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on July 6, 2013 at Faith Baptist Church.
