Edna Theresa Sterling, 89, of Port St. Lucie, FL died Friday, August 7, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Sterling was born October 25, 1919 in Houtzdale, PA and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1975 from Middletown, NY.
She was a member of the Port Saint Lucie First Congregational Church, a homemaker and an assistant to her husband who was a successful contractor borh in New York and Florida. Mrs. Sterling had been a volunteer and troop leader for almost 40 years with the Girl Scouts in Middletown, NY.
Survivors include her three daughters Roberta Bull of Murphy, NC, Catherine Smith of Port St. Lucie, FL and Margaret Gobeo of Murphy, NC; a brother William Kozlowski of Murphy, NC; a sister Doris Hartenstein of Clermont, FL; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Gordon W. Sterling in 2007.
Services: A memorial service will take place at the First Congregational Church in Port St. Lucie at a later date.
