Obit: Edward James McClelland
Edward James McClelland, 88, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, May 13, 2011 in Vero Beach.
Mr. McClelland was born November 3, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Vero Beach 20 years ago from Boca Raton, FL.
He had been a fire fighter for the City of Philadelphia before retiring to Vero Beach where he served as Head of Security for Indian River Estates. Mr. McClelland was a member of the Community Church in Vero Beach and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife Melba McClelland; son Scott McClelland of Pompano Beach, FL; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth McClelland.

Services: A private memorial celebration will take place at the Community Church in Vero Beach at a later date followed by inurnment at the church memorial garden.
