Edwin Harry Lathrop, 90, of Sebastian, passed away at home on Thursday, August 4, 2011. He was born July 14, 1921, in Stonington, CT and moved to Sebastian 20 years ago from Eleuthera, Bahamas. Edwin was a pilot who flew independent air charters. A veteran of WWII and Korea, he was a Major in the USMC, serving as a carrier fighter pilot. Edwin is survived by his signifigant other, Shirley Knight of Sebastian, son Harry Lester Lathrop, II. of St. Petersburg, FL, 2 grandchildren, Cynthia Renee Lathrop and Wayne Avery Lathrop, brother Charles Lathrop of Stonington, CT, and sister Jane Bolin of Oceanside, CA.
