Obituary

Edwin Henry Selover, Vice President of Selover Trucking Company, So. River, NJ, whose late father Milton E. Selover was founder and President.

He was a winter resident since 1968, and later moved permanently to the same address in 1980. While in South River, he was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, and served as Treasurer for several years in the Sunday School Department. He was a member of Philo Lodge #243, F&AM of South River, NJ, the Vero Beach chapter of AARP, the American Legion of Orlando, FL, the NJ Club of Vero Beach and the Vero Beach Health and Country Club.

A private family burial will be at Old Tennent Church Cemetery, Freehold, NJ where several of his ancestors were Lieutenants at the battle of Monmouth during the Revolutionary War.

He was born on July 21, 1919 in No. Brunswick, NJ. Served in WWII with the US Army Air Corps, 406th Fighter Group and fought in the Normandy Invasion and Battle of the Bulge. He earned the Presidential Unit Citation Air Medal, Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster of 3, European Air Offensive Medal, 2 Gold Service Stars, American Defense Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Carbine Qualification Bar.

Mr. Selover is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bernice Selover, sons Richard and Gary Selover, grandsons Brian, Michael and Paul Selover, and 2 great-granddaughters Taylor and Ella Selover.

Contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House at 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

At the request of family there will be no services.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach, FL.
