Eleanor Jane Pope Wechsler-Klueppelberg, 88, of Sebastian, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Life Care Center of Palm Bay.
She was born January 9, 1922 in Ann Arbor, MI and was resident of Sebastian since 1990, coming from Long Island, NY.
Mrs. Wechsler-Klueppelberg moved to Flushing, NYC in 1925 attended P.S. 107 and for 1 year Bayside High School. Family then moved to Merrick, Long Island and she attended Mepham High in Bellmore, Long Island. She graduated in June 1940. She graduated in June 1940. She attended Hofstra University for a short while and then worked at Equitable Life Assurance Society in New York City for eight years. In November 1949 she married Samuel Wechsler who had a daughter Margaretta. They had three more children, Brian Samuel Wechsler, Nancy Jane Wechsler and Bruce Pope Wechsler. Now Brian is the Rev. Wechsler the C.E.O. of Village Missions. Her first husband Sam died in 1978 and in 1986 she married Robert Klueppelberg.
Services: The family will receive friends 2-4PM, Monday, December 6, 2010 at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dave Newhart officiating. Interment will be at West Arlington, Vermont with her mother, father and first husband.
