Elizabeth Crane, 97, of Vero Beach passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

Mrs. Crane was born March 23, 1915 in Chicago, IL. She had been a resident of Vero Beach for 7 years, coming from Ocala. .

Prior to her retirement she was the owner and operator of the Nutmeg Motel in Hollywood, FL.

Elizabeth attended Saint Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.

She was a member of several deaf clubs in and out of the State of Florida.

Survivors include her daughter Joyce E. Maio and her husband Frank of Vero Beach; 2 grandchildren, John Maio and his wife Nancy and Teresa Maio; and 2 great-grandchildren Emily and Vincent.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, John E. Biederman, Charles Van Epps, Michael J. Crane; and her son Barry Van Epps.

A memorial mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Saint Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House at 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
