Elizabeth Maurer, 83, of Fort Pierce, died Monday, December 19, 2011 at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.

Mrs. Maurer was born May 14, 1928 in Bronx, NY. She had been a resident of Fort Pierce for 10 years, coming from Texas.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter; Cassandra Childs of Weaverville, NC; sons, Paul W. Maurer, M.D. of Key West, FL and Richard H. Maurer Esq. of Philadelphia, PA; twin sister, Elaine Walton of Raleigh, NC; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Paul W. Maurer Sr.

Services: At request of the family, services will be private.
