Elizabeth "Betsy" Anne Pocchia, 78, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Indian River Medical Center,Vero Beach, FL.
Mrs. Pocchia was born July 20, 1934 in Staten Island, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1994, coming from Middletown, NJ.
She was a graduate of Rutgers University where she received her Master's Degree.
Prior to retirement she was a social worker for hospice for 7 years in Monmouth County, NJ. Prior to being a social worker she was a registered nurse in Staten Island, NY for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years Ralph Pocchia of Vero Beach, FL; four sons Jeffrey Dahl of St. Louis, MO, Chris Dahl of White Plans, NY, David Dahl of Arlington, VA, Russell Dahl of Hazlet, NJ; one daughter Elaine Dahl of Jupiter, FL; one brother David O'Brian of Vero Beach, FL; one sister Patricia McIntyre of Staten Island, NY; step-son Ralph Pocchia of Milford, NJ; two step-daughters Michel Fryauff of Vero Beach, FL, Patricia Cowley of Washington, NJ; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel, Vero Beach, FL.
