Ellen Brown Abell, 71, of Vero Beach, FL., passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at VNA Hospice House surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Ellen Brown Abell was born January 10, 1941 in Newton, MA and moved to Vero Beach, FL 5 years ago, coming from Delray Beach, FL.
She was the former President of Abell Home Loans for many years. She was an avid tennis player and a member of the local Elks Lodge in Vero Beach. She attended St. John of the Cross.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years George R. Abell; daughters Darrah Abell of Stuart, FL and Deirdre Murray of Vero Beach, FL and three grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at St. John of the Cross in Vero Beach, FL.
Memorial Contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
