Ellen Margaret Mathis, 77, of Port St. Lucie, FL died Friday, April 12, 2009 at her home, after a brief illness.
Ms. Mathis was born June 9, 1931 in New York, NY and moved to Port St. Lucie, FL five years ago from Fort Pierce, FL.
She was a homemaker and an avid reader.
Survivors include her daughter Christina Mathis of Coral Gables, FL; sister Flora Walker of Port St. Lucie, FL; and brother Sam Walker of Port St. Lucie, FL.
Services: At the request of the family there will be no services.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the VNA / Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach, Florida. Condolences may be sent through www.seawindsfh.com/obit.php
