Ernest Lowell Dinsmore, 93, of Vero Beach, FL died on Monday, April 20, 2009 at the Consulate Health Care in Vero Beach.
Mr. Dinsmore was born September 11, 1915 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Vero Beach 4 years ago from Barefoot Bay, FL where he had lived since 1979, coming from Roslyn Heights, NY.
Prior to his retirement he had worked for Schlotterbeck & Foss Co. of Portland, ME. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, June 1946 with rank of Captain. He had received his training in the Army Air Corps at Bolling Field, Washington, DC, transferred to United Kingdon Headquarters Army Air Corps Service Command of 8th Air Force in May 1942, attended OCS in 1943 in Miami Beach, FL where he graduated as 2nd Lieutenant, and in 1943 returned to London as a member of the 27th Air Transport Group of the 8th Air Force.
Survivors include his cousin, Earland Lowell of Swans Island, ME, and many close friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Joan Laurie Bellamy Dinsmore.
Service: A memorial service will be held at The Community Church Grace Chapel on April 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
