Ervin "Bill" Rucks, 79, of Okeechobee, FL died Monday, April 4, 2011 at his home.
Bill was born February 26, 1932 in Pahokee, FL. He was a resident of Okeechobee for 46 years coming from Pompano Beach, FL.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Bill served in the United States Airforce during the Korean War.
He was the owner of Brighton Dairies, Inc.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Ellen; sons, Kevin (Nancy) Rucks, Glenn (Beverly) Rucks, Mark (Suzanne) Rucks, Gerald (Debbie) Rucks all of Okeechobee; daughter, Debbie (Roy) Warren of Jensen Beach, FL; brothers, Ralph Rucks and Allen Rucks both of Okeechobee; sister, Irene Stokell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Gervis & Docia Rucks; brothers, Olin Rucks, Roy Rucks, Vernon Rucks; sisters, Pauline Rucks and Chestine Everett.
A visitation will be held from 5-8PM, Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Buxton Seawinds Chapel at Abundant Blessing Church at 4550 US HWY 441, Okeechobee, FL 34972. A funeral mass will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Okeechobee with interment immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery.
