Erwin Eugene Moosher, 93, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on November 16, 2022. Erwin was born on October 14, 1929, in Peekskill, New York to Caroline and Ernest Moosher.

Erwin served in the US Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of sergeant. He later returned to Lake Mahopac, NY to resume working at the Forest House Hotel where he remained for 33 years – the last 20 as Head Chef. In 1977, Erwin, along with his wife Mary Anne, and a partner, opened the Middlebranch Restaurant in Brewster, NY. After 25 years as a successful restauranteur, Erwin retired and moved to Vero Beach in 2002.

Throughout his career, Erwin was cherished and respected by his co-workers, employees, and his faithful clientele. He will be forever remembered for his sense of humor, his friendliness, and, of course, his amazing cooking.

Erwin was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Anne Moosher, his brother Ernest, and sister Rosemary. He is survived by his six children, Michael (Roxanne) Moosher, Catherine (John) McCullough, David (Kathy) Moosher, Erwin J. Moosher (Skip), Kenneth Moosher, and Christine (Dermot) Faulds; his two stepdaughters, Nancy (David) Stork, and Katherine (Phillip) Zogran; 13 grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.
