Estella Jean Higgs, 87, of Vero Beach, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.

She was born August 1, 1924 in Sioux City, IA and was a resident of Vero Beach, FL for 30 years, coming from Iowa.

Prior to retirement she worked as a bank teller for Security State Bank in Algona, IA.

Survivors include her two sons: Joel Higgs of Henderson, NV and Jeff Higgs of Broomfield, CO; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Higgs, son James Higgs and sister Janet Kohler.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel in Vero Beach, FL.
