Ethel Lee Sharp Darby passed away March 8, 2010 at 94years old died peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side. Ethel was born in Liberty Mississippi June 20, 1915 daughter of Tyson A. Sharp and Daisy Cotten Sharp. Ethel joined the Army Air Corps August 14, 1943 and received an honorable discharge October 5, 1945. She graduated from Liberty High School; she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W Post 4206 for 40years of service.
She is survived her sister Elsie Cockerham, four children son Godfrey J. Darby wife Valerie Darby, son George A. Darby, James T. Darby wife Margaret Darby and daughter Dolores D. Lane, eight grandchildren James A. Darby, Jill Darby, Christopher Lane, Raya Cox, Jennifer Lindenberger, Dawn Darby and Lindsay Darby, eight great grandchildren Devin Walker, Kiley Walker, Kelsey Walker, Madisyn Cox, Ivy Cox, Ryland Lindenberger, Chaz Lindenberger, and Abigail Darby.
Visitation will be Saturday March 20, 2010 from 10:30-11:00am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am, at Davis/Seawinds Funeral Home.
