Eugene George Althoff, 91, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Althoff was born November 12, 1917 in St. Marys, OH and moved to Vero Beach in 2006 from Sarasota, FL.
Prior to his retirement he had worked for General Motors Frigidaire Division as Director of Purchasing. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Ruby Cora Althoff of Vero Beach; son David Althoff of Vero Beach; daughters Sally Althoff of Portland, OR, Sandra Pugliese of Venice, Italy and Susan Hughes of Cincinnati, OH; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Althoff and Teresa Strackdein; and five great-grandchildren, Michael Althoff, Kelly Althoff, David Stackdein, Morgan Strackdein and Jessica Strackdein.
Services: A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
