Eugene Gene Ruth, 78, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Ruth was born July 26, 1930 in Hammond, IN and moved to Vero Beach twenty years ago from the Birmingham, AL area.
Prior to his retirement he had worked for GE and then he had owned a manufacturers representative business. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church where he was an usher, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Ruth was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Navy on an Underwater Demolition Team.
Survivors include his wife Barbie, son Richard, daughter Michelle, brother Hal, and two grandsons Bryce and Zachary Ruth.
Services: A Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon, Friday, February 27, 2009 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
