Evelyn L. Hyatt, 85, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at VNA Hospice House.

She was born March 21, 1929 in Waynesboro, PA and had been a resident of Indian River County for 28 years, coming from Falls Church, VA.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Hyatt worked 30 years with the United States Department of Labor.

She was a member of Unity Church, where she served as a volunteer. She was also a member of Stepping Stone Quilters of Sebastian.

Mrs. Hyatt is survived by her husband of 64 years, Woodrow G. Hyatt; daughters, Susan Follot of Sebastian and Cindy Pillitteri of Pickerington, OH; son, Michael Hyatt of Vero Beach; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, David Hyatt in 1992 and her sister, Jane Burke.

A memorial service will be held 11am, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Unity Church, Vero Beach. Memorial contributions may be made to the Unity Church.
