Felix Karsky, 84, of Wethersfield, Connecticut and Vero Beach, Florida, beloved husband of Edith Pollock Karsky, died Wednesday, May 31, in Vero Beach, with family by his side. Born March 24, 1933, in Hartford, Connecticut, Felix was the youngest son of the late Felix Karczewski and Olga (Pasterczyk) Karsky. Felix spent his entire life in the Hartford area. A scholar-athlete, Felix attended Bulkeley High School, where he co-captained the 1950 undefeated football team, and Trinity College, where he earned All Connecticut College Team and All New England Team honors. After a 45-year distinguished teaching and coaching career at Bulkeley, he was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in the Inaugural Class in October of 2015. Felix was also active in politics: as a member of the CT General Assembly House of Representatives, he chaired the Joint Insurance and Real Estate Committee, and later served as a lobbyist for the Insurance Association of Connecticut.

Family and friends meant everything to Felix. Married in 1988, Felix and Edith traveled all over the United States, Canada, and China to spend time with family. In his retirement, they spent much of that time on the beaches of Connecticut, Cape Cod, and Florida with their children and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother and father, Felix was predeceased by his brothers Walter and Andrew Karsky, and his sisters Helen Bednarski, Josephine Redys and Olga Wilcox. In addition to his devoted wife, Edith, Felix is survived by his children Bradford Karsky and fiance Phyllis Puckette of Simsbury, CT, and Lori Karsky Horn and husband Douglas Horn of San Antonio, TX and Ivoryton, CT; stepsons Sean Pollock of Cincinnati, OH, Brett Pollock of Truro, Nova Scotia, and Joshua Pollock and wife Naoko Pollock of Kunming, China; and Barbara Karsky of Unionville, CT. Felix also leaves behind his loving grandchildren Jonathan, Bryan, and Nicholas Karsky, and Grayson, Yemaya, Aitreya, Kenyon, Miwa, and Shun Pollock; Brad and Lori's mother, Anita Karsky; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Funeral services for family and friends were held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11 AM at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Mass will be held at the St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hartford, Connecticut on June 22, 2017 at 10 am.
