Frances Eleanor Ford, 90, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Ft. Pierce, FL after a brief battle with leukemia. Born October 17, 1928 in Easton, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Merritt Holden Sr and Ruth Aquilla (Usilton) Holden.

Frances spent most of her life in Queen Anne's County, Maryland and was a 1945 graduate of Stevensville High School. On February 8, 1949, she married Charles Owen Ford III with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage until his passing in 2012. Frances and Charles had two children, Diane (Jeff) Arthurs of Uhrichsville, Ohio and Dennis (Carol) Ford of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Known as "Granny", Frances loved to Face Time with her two grandchildren, Keith (Katie) Arthurs of Alliance, Ohio and Jennifer (Scott) Bronson of Leawood, Kansas. Her seven great grandchildren especially made her smile, Nathan, Rachel, Rebekah and Leah Bronson and Camden, Adelaide and Lennon Arthurs.

Frances was preceded in death by her son, Dennis, her sisters, Mary Catherine Dodd Whitby, Hilda Mae Jones and a brother, John Merritt Holden, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Jeff) Arthurs; sister in law, Mary Agnes Engle of Centreville, MD and brother in law Ted Ford of Chestertown, MD.

Frances requested there will be no services.
