Obituary

Robert "Frank" Cureton of Vero Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30 , 2016 at the VNA Hospice House. Born in Ocala, Florida to Jasper and Mary Cureton, he lived most of his life in Vero Beach after his return from the United States Navy.

He was a humble man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He valued the quiet time, yet when he spoke, his words held so much meaning and teaching behind them.

Frank was an extremely loving and proud father of his three children, Hubert Cureton, Mary Allard, and Christine Cureton. Both Frank and his surviving wife, best friend of 57 years, Mercy Cureton sacrificed so much to see their children through life and be the best providers possible. Taking in children of other families, helping others, teaching morals, values, and common sense, going for rides, attending practices and games, and telling jokes were all part of who Frank Cureton will be in our hearts. He upheld the highest morals and never gave up on what was right, always standing up for the underdog. Frank set the bar high by showing what a real man of pride, dignity, and family values meant. He will forever be remembered as a humble, proud and dignified husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend to many.

He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Justice Cureton, Connor Allard, Malia Binafif, and Cory Binafif along with many nieces, nephews, and in laws that were like his own brother or sister.

A service to honor and remember Frank will be held on Saturday, July 9 at St Helen's Church at noon followed by a gathering of friends and family.
