Frank J. DErasmo, 81, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. DErasmo was born December 4, 1927 in the Bronx, NY and moved to Vero Beach 23 years ago from Amityville, NY.
He was a graduate of Fordham University with a degree in Pharmacy and had owned a pharmacy in New York then had been a pharmacist for the State of New York prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach and a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army.
Survivors include his son Stephen P. DErasmo of Winter Garden, FL; daughters Kathryn Brust of Charlottesville, VA and Susan Miner of Downingtown, PA; brothers Thomas DErasmo of Brentwood, NY and Vito DEasmo of Yonkers, NY; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter Kathleen Marie DErasmo.
Services: A graveside service will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach at a later date.
