Frank E. Flores, age 85, a resident of Indian River Estates, died on December 23, 2015. He was formerly a long-time resident of Connecticut and was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 18, 1930. He had retired as the business owner of a New York printing and reproductions firm.
He was on the Board of Directors of the Greater New York Salvation Army for over twenty years and was active in Hispanic Affairs including the Hispanic Business Organization of New York. He was also awarded both a Private Sector Initiative Commendation and Hispanic Businessman of the Year by President Reagan.
He married the former Elizabeth Weekes, and they recently celebrated their 67th Anniversary. They have two surviving children, Stephen W. Flores of New York and Allen W. Flores of Arizona and one grandchild, David A. Flores of Massachusetts. Two children, Linda and Donald predeceased Frank.
A remembrance service was held on Monday, December 28th, at the Chapel at Indian River Estates.
