Frank A Koniecki, 89, husband of Cecilia (King) Koniecki, died at home in Vero Beach, FL, on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Mr Koniecki was born in Greenwich, CT and was a graduate of Greenwich High School. An army veteran of WWII, he built and sold rowboats before becoming a master carpenter with Connecticut Local 210. He was active in the 9th District Veteran's Association of Greenwich, CT; and was a charter member in the Connecticut Chapter of the NRA. Mr. Koniecki was an avid fisherman and hunter and an accomplished wood carver. While living in Vero Beach, he participated in the Senior Olympics and the Goodwill Games, where he won several medals in bocce competitions.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, Mr. Koniecki is survived by his daughters, Jacelyn Hoffman of Dallas, TX; Donna Koniecki of Kailua-Kona, HI; and Karen Kuhne of Sandy Hook, CT.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. John of the Cross Church in Vero Beach on Friday, November 6 at 10AM. Burial will take place at the family's convenience.
