Obituary

Dr. Frank L. Martin, 81, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Dr. Martin was born January 26, 1929 in Springfield, OH and moved to Vero Beach in 2005 from Worthington, OH.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a submarine communications operator. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University, followed by Physical Therapy school at Duke University. He then moved to Granville, Ohio, where he worked as a trainer and wrestling coach at Denison University. Dr. Martin relocated to Columbus, Ohio to work at Mount Carmel hospital. He was then hired by Ohio State University as physical therapist for the student health center, where he worked until he retired.
Dr. Martin received his masters and doctorate degrees while employed by Ohio State University. He was an active member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, and a championship handball & racquetball player. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ann Martin of Vero Beach, sons Glen Martin (Peggy) of San Pedro, CA and Brady Martin of Grand Junction, CO, daughters Julie Martin of Grand Junction, CO, Kay Crowley (Neil) of Denver, CO, Molly Martin of Brentwood, TN and two grandchildren.
Services: No services are planned at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach, Florida.
