Fred R. McClure, 82, of Vero Beach, Florida died, Friday, June 28, 2013 at VNA Hospice House.

He was born January 24, 1931 in Decatur, Tennessee and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 26 years, coming from Columbus, Ohio.

Mr. McClure was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. McClure was a 32nd degree Mason.

Prior to retirement, Mr. McClure owned and operated many service stations in Columbus, OH and in Vero Beach. He most recently owned the Mobile Station at State Road 60 and I95 in Vero Beach.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia H. McClure; daughters, Patty Hegarty of South Carolina, Susie Lang of Vero Beach, Carolyn Hunter of Vero Beach; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and two nieces and 2 great nieces. He was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela McClure.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 6th at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Myers of Richmond, VA officiating.
