Obituary

Frederick Albert Young, Jr., passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at his home in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Young was born on April 29, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio. He had been a resident of the Treasure Coast area for 22 years, coming from Wilmington, Delaware.
He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Roosevelt. Fred was a member of the Iron Workers Union out of Wilmington, Delaware and was a contractor supervisor at St. Lucie and Turkey Point Nuclear Plants from 1993 to 2003. He was an active member at Morningside Church of Port St Lucie and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Fred loved to work with his hands and play golf. He was always busy tinkering in his garage or doing a home improvement project for his wife or one of his children.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Jeanne Young of Ft Pierce, FL;
son, Leslie Coleman of Port Saint Lucie, FL; daughter Carla Heinold and her husband Jeff of Port Saint Lucie, FL and Jessie Schmidt and her husband George of Vero Beach, FL; son Keith Coleman and his wife Andrea of Port Saint Lucie, FL; son W. G. Marc Hayes, I of Vero Beach, FL. Mr. Young had nine grandchildren; Lynsey Lamb-Edge and her husband Stephen; Laura Horzelski and her husband Travis; W. G. Marc Hayes, II, Audrey Hayes, Tyler McGuire and his wife Danielle; Brian Coleman Lexi Watson, Coleman Schmidt and Carli Coleman.

A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11:00AM at Morningside Church of Port Saint Lucie, 2180 SE Morningside Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34952
