G. H.(Chris) Christiansen, Jr. Died at his home March 19, 2009. He was born April 8, 1927 in Atlanta, GA to Julie Clements and G. H. Christiansen, Sr. He resided in Miami, Florida from the age of 2 to 10 and returned to Atlanta where he was educated. He entered the United States Navy in 1944 and served in the Pacific Theater on Ie Shima and Okinawa. Upon his return to civilian life in 1946 his professional life led him into fields as an Electrical Engineer with Lockheed of Marietta, GA for 19 years and later he worked with GE Medical Systems Division of General Electric Corporation, which brought him back to Boca Raton in 1967 and to Port St. Lucie in 1987. His retirement from General Electric gave him time to enjoy RC Airplanes, boating, friends and most of all family.
He was an avid Scuba Diver having owned his own business in Atlanta and successfully trained and certified many divers in the Atlanta area. He later took up the hobby of building and flying RC Airplanes and was a member of the American Modeling Association and locally the Sundancers R/C Club.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Christiansen of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons Kevin (Pat) Christiansen of Port St. Lucie, FL, Ed (Joan) Christiansen of Coconut Creek, FL, Ken Christiansen; daughters Judith (Fred) Brodsky of Coral Springs, FL, Kathryn (Jim) Hayden of Port st. Lucie, FL. 9 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren; Sister Carolyn (Denton) Harris of Atlanta, GA; many nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and infant son, James Bruce.

A memorial service will be held at the Gazebo at Lake Tradition on Meeting Street in Traditions on March 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Harry Butsko officiating, Military Honors will follow.
