Gale Hartford Matthews, 93 of Sebastian, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House.
He was born October 23, 1917 in Falls Church, VA and was a resident of Sebastian for 32 years
coming from Arlington, VA.
Gale owned a Kitchen Remodeling business . He was a United States Coast Guard merchant marine. He was a member of the VFW, Elks Lodge and American Legion.
Survivors include his son Gayle Matthews of Falls Church, VA, daughter Jeanne Kraus of Crystal Springs, FL and caretaker Bobbie Stankowski of Sebastian, FL..
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the VFW in Sebastian, FL.
