Dr. Garron Klepach, 72, was born in Detroit, Michigan and died in Vero Beach, Florida on April 22nd, 2013 after a seven-year struggle with progressive motor neuropathy (ALS).

Only son of deceased parents Joseph and Rose, he was a graduate of Notre Dame University and Cornell Medical College. After completing a residency program in ophthalmology at Wayne State University and a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Harvard University, he returned to Wayne State as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology. Later, he opened a private practice in the Detroit area, where his work included home visits in the poorest sections of the city. He was a student of Greek, Latin, and the bible and an accomplished pianist.

Garron was devoted to his family, his work, and his faith. In his own words, "I realized early in my career that the work of my hands and mind was not mine. I was simply a glove for the hand of God into which he inserted himself to do the work of Providence."

Survivors include his wife, June, his sons Thomas, Christian, and Joel, his daughter-in-law, Denise, and two grandchildren, Roa and Isla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2013 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. Inurnment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI at a later date.
