Garry N. Carlson, 67, of Vero Beach, FL and of Duluth, MN died at VNA Hospice House on November 14. 2010. He was born in Duluth, MN. He received an MFA in art and taught in the Art Departments of UW, Stout and UMD, before joining with his wife in owning and operating Caromin House Inc., intermediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled.
Garry was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin, and his parents, Kenneth and Violet Carlson. He is survived by his wife, Trudy; daughter, Caroline; sister, Fayth (Gary) Glass; and many relatives & friends, and the past colleagues of Caromin House.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses in Duluth and Vero Beach who gave Garry such superb care during his illnesses.
Services will be held at a later date in the spring of 2011, in Fredonia, WI and Duluth, MN.
