Gary G. Brown, 54, of Vero Beach died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Indian River Medical Center.

Mr. Brown was born June 25, 1957 in Kitzingen, Germany. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 23 years, coming from Columbia, SC.

Mr. Brown worked in renovations and maintenance at Indian River Estates.

Gary was an avid fisherman and hunter. He spent his time in Blue Cypress, Okeetanie,the Stick Marsh and the Ocean. He was also on a hunting lease in Georgia.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Rose; daughters Katrena McMahan and Kyleigh Brown both of Vero Beach; son Garrett Brown of Vero Beach; parents Gary and Eleonore Brown of Elgin, SC; brothers Charlie Brown of California, Peter Brown of Columbia, SC, and Curtis Brown of Albany, NY; sisters, Peggy Almeida of New Hampshire, and Sherry Sons of Interlachen, FL; and three grandsons Payton, Ian and Dylan.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Skyler Brown and grandson, Shane Brown.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Indian River Estates West Chapel.
