Gene S. Parmentier passed away on July 1, 2019.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 18, 1932 to Archie and Sophie Parmentier.  He is survived by his wife, Doris of 49 years, his first wife Francis Byxbe & eight children.

In high school he was a pinsetter at the local bowling alley.  When he was 16 he worked for Ford Motor Co. and later, at Hudson Motor where he served as an electrical apprentice.  He also worked at Packard Motor Car Co., Chrysler Mopar, and finally at General Motors in Chevy Engineering as an electrician for 33 years.  He retired February 28, 1989, and built a home in Cape Coral, Florida, moving there shortly after.  Gene and his wife, Doris eventually settled in Vero Beach, Florida.

Gene is survived by his children, Gene M. Parmentier (spouse, Chris), Cheryl L. Parmentier, Denise A. Throntveit, Gregory A. Parmentier, Lucille Manley-Church (spouse, Mike), Cynthia L. Higaze (spouse Fred), Glen C. Parmentier (spouse, Amanda), Gary E. Beebe of Georgia (deceased) and Charmaine L. Parmentier.

It was Gene's final wish that disposition of his ashes take place in Michigan by his children at a date of their choosing.
