Genevieve Lyles Thompson's Obituary
Genevieve Lyles Thompson, 77, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Thompson was born June 17, 1931 in Alexandria, VA and moved to Vero Beach in 1997 from Daytona Beach, FL.
Prior to retirement she had been a switchboard operator for Bell Atlantic in Silver Spring, MD for 15 years. She attended the Community Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her daughter Donna Miller of Vero Beach, two sisters Letitia Cozad of West Virginia and Virginia Smith of Maryland, and her companion of seven years Jay Hanna of Vero Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Thompson. Services:
The family will receive friends 5-8 pm, Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a funeral service at 7 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Moore officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Volusia Memorial Park in Daytona.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dogs For Life, Inc., Dog Park, PO Box 650023, Vero Beach, FL 32965.
