George K. Fisher, 79, of Vero Beach, FL passed on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Fisher was born June 16, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN and moved to Vero Beach 28 years ago from Miami, FL.
He attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated with a degree in Accounting before moving to Miami where he established the Fisher/Robinson Company and was a member of the Optimist Club of Miami. He moved to Vero Beach in 1981 and began the G. K. Fisher Construction Company. He was employed for the past 15 years as a Senior Project Estimator (and good friend) at Chilberg Construction Company.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Mary Louise Fisher of Vero Beach; children Kathy Fisher Kee of Winter Springs, FL, Anne Angelopoulos of Parkland, FL, Bryan Whitney of Nederland, CO, Jennifer Spell of Virginia Beach, VA and Scott Whitney of Sarasota, FL; and seven grandchildren.
Service: A memorial service will take place 11 AM, Friday, May 8, 2009 at Lakeside Church in Vero Beach, FL with Allen Neiman officiating.
