George Riva, 77, passed away on February 17, 2024, in Vero Beach, Florida.

He was raised in the Woodlawn section in the Bronx, NY, where he attended and played football at Riverdale Country School. After graduating from Parsons College, he married Ann Marie Mills, his beautiful and loving wife of 53 years. They made their home in Syracuse, NY where George taught Physical Education and coached football and wrestling at West Genesee High School.

After teaching, George moved into the hospitality business, owning several taverns where he honed a love of cooking and serving patrons. George and Ann retired to Ft. Pierce, FL, where they were active members of the Spanish Lakes Fairways Community. They were always willing to help a friend or cook dinner for the masses.

George will be dearly missed by his wife, family, and community.
