George August Ziegler, 82, of Vero Beach passed away peacefully at home on Wed, April 18 with his family surrounding him.  George was born in Yeadon Pa., lived in Philadelphia, PA and Guilford, CT before moving to Vero Beach in 2006.

George is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Rita; his daughter Linda (Jack); sons, George (Elizabeth); Eric (April); Mark (Denise); and 11 wonderful grandchildren.

George honorably served our country in US Navy from 1954 to 1958.  George was a kindhearted, loving gentleman, who adored being with his family.

A celebration of life will be held in Connecticut at a later date.
