Gerald Wesley Freland, 83 of Sebastian, FL passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.
He was born May 26, 1926 in Cincinnati, OH and was a resident of Sebastian for 17 years, coming from Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Mr. Freland was a retired title setter. He served in the US Army during WWII.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years Joyce Freland of Sebastian, FL; daughter Jessica Fredericksen of Sebastian, FL; son James C. Tappan of Lake Wales, FL; sister Geraldine Wiedman of Anchorage, AK; nephew Lester (Barbara) Gerth; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers Isaac, Wesley, Donald, Paul Freland and sister Marie Gerth.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Christian Community Church, P.O. BOX 780216, Sebastian, FL 32958.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel in Sebastian, Florida with Rev. Dr. Ron Thomas officiating.
