Gerald "Big Jerry" Gruber,  Sr. died on November 7, 2018 at 73 years of age. He was born in the city of New Orleans and lived in the area most of his life, and became a resident of Vero Beach, FL in 2012 coming from Colorado Springs, CO. Jerry was a member of the South Vero Beach congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Ann Gruber; his sons Gerald "Little Jerry" Gruber, Jr. (Clairise)  and Glenn Gruber (Lisa); grandsons Joshua, Jordan (Stori) and Calegan Gruber and Patrick Sabo; great grandchildren Sidney and Joel Rutter; and brother William Gruber, Jr. (Sylvia).

Jerry liked to watch and play sports, and especially loved spending time with his family. But the thing most precious to him was studying the Bible and sharing his faith in his God Jehovah with others.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2126 8th St, Vero Beach FL 32962.
