Geraldine Gerry C. Clarke, 79, of Fort Pierce, FL died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Clarke was born October 28, 1928 in New York, New York and moved to Fort Pierce in 1987 from Medford, NJ.
She was a member of St Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Mrs. Clarke had been a LPN at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Moorestown, NJ prior to her retirement and a volunteer at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She enjoyed her family, bowling and needlework.
Survivors include her daughters Geraldine Simpkins of Medford, NJ and Maureen DiMaria of Sebastian, FL; sons James J. Clarke of Jacksonville, NC, Edward F. Clarke of Kihei, HI, Michael D. Clarke and George J. Clarke both of Vero Beach, FL; brothers George Hefferon of Ridgefield, CT and Edward Hefferon of The Villages, Orlando, FL; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband James J. Clarke, Jr. and a son Robert J. Clarke.
Services: The family will receive friends 7-9 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon, Thursday, May 29, 2008 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach followed by interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
