Gertrude Frances Theresa Breen Casey made her long journey home on Sunday evening, November 1, All Saints' Day. As a soft rain fell outside her beloved Park Shores home, with her daughter Clare and her son Vincent at her side, our Gertrude passed with courage, grace, and kindness in her heart, surrounded by the light and love of a life well-lived.

May her remarkable spirit carry on in those she knew and those she cherished, most especially her three children including son, Eugene, his wife Heather, her steadfast son-in-law Damian, and her treasured "One and Only" granddaughter, Tile Celeste Wolfe.

Gratitude in particular for years of caring goes to Dr. Thomas Lewis and his compassionate nurse, Wilma; special thanks to the VNA Hospice angel nurses who helped all of us this past week in our hours of need.
