Gertrude "Trudy" McGrath of Ft. Pierce, Florida, departed into eternal peace on July 25, 2014.
Gertrude was born to Charles & Ann O'Kane in Brooklyn, New York in 1936.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother, her husband William, their son Timothy and a grandson William. She is survived by her children William of Perdido Beach, Alabama; Ann (Michael) of Vero Beach, Florida; Charles (Kathy) of Aurora, Illinois; and Christine (Michael) of Walworth, Wisconsin; and grandchildren Christine, Kathleen, Andi, Adam, Nicholas, Marianna, Emily, Erin, David & Timothy; great-grandchildren Patrick, Callan, Audrey, Sean, Annalise, and Korinne; her sister Anne (Larry) and many nieces and nephews.

Gertrude had many interests, but was most involved with caring for her family and enjoying the company of friends. She graduated from St. Agnes Academic School Rockville Center, New York in 1953 and went on to secretarial school prior to getting married in 1957.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL at 12:00PM on Friday, August 1, 2014.

Gertrude and William started their family in Natick, MA, and also lived in Naperville, IL for over 20 years where their children grew up. They retired to Florida in 1988.
