Gladies Lee Locher, 80, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Dixie Oak Manor in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Locher was born March 29, 1929 in Cleveland, OH and moved to Vero Beach in 1993 from Miami, FL.
She was a graduate of FSU, Class of 49 and prior to her retirement she was a Classroom Teacher in Dade County teaching English to Foreign Speaking Students. She had also been an English Teacher and Interpreter for the American Embassy in Bogota, Colombia. Mrs. Locher was of the Methodist Faith and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Miami, FL.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Joseph R. Locher of Vero Beach; daughter Cheryl Elizabeth Pendleton of Miami, FL; and one grandson.
She was predeceased by her three brothers.
Services: A memorial service will be held at Christ By The Sea United Methodist Church in Vero Beach, at a later date.
