Gloria O'Dowd, 81, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014.
She was born May 20, 1932 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, was raised in Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1988, coming from Glen Cove, Long Island.
Prior to retirement, Mrs. O'Dowd worked as a commercial scheduler at WOR-TV in New York.
Gloria was an avid Bingo player at Ft. Pierce Bingo. She enjoyed crochet and was a former member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick S. O'Dowd; daughter, Kathiann Paolillo; sons, Robert Harold Cornman, Jr. and Stephen William Cornman; step-daughters, Janey Carney and Maureen Manley; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Cornman in 1972; great-grandson, Nicholas and step-son, Patrick O'Dowd.
A visitation will be held 4-6pm, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home followed by a 6pm, wake service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am, Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the March of Dimes in honor of Nicholas Vincent D'Angelo.
