Gordon E. Munson, 72, passed away September 29, 2017. He was born in Queens Village, New York on July 18, 1945. He was a proud member of the St. James Fire Department for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife in their RV.

Gordon was married to Bernadette Phillips Munson for 53 years and had two children: daughter, Wendy Munson Pray and her husband, Jim, of Stonington, CT; and son, Gordon E. Munson, and wife Starr, of St. James, NY. He was Grumpa to Ian S. Grosso, of Boston, MA. He is also survived by his brother, Glenn A. Munson and his wife, June, of Port Jefferson Station, NY; and sister, Gail Munson Pangborn and her husband Jerry, of Ramona, CA.

He is predeceased by his father, George D. Munson in 1977, his mother, Gertrude A. Munson (nee Denlea) in 2008, and brothers, George E. Munson, Dennis Munson, and Gary Munson.
