Grace Frances Goodermote, 81, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Goodermote was born October 1, 1927 in Wynantskill, NY and has been a resident of Vero Beach since 1994, coming here from New Paltz, NY.
Prior to retirement she worked as a Personnel manager for thirty-two years at the Virtis Company in Gardiner, NY. In the late forties and early fifties she was employed by the Brooklyn Dodgers as an administrative secretary at their Spring Training location in Vero Beach. Mrs. Goodermote was also active in the Polish American Club and she attended First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her son Lon R. Goodermote (Hanh) of New Paltz, NY, companion Eddie Pocengal of Vero Beach, FL, sister Ruth Wheeler of Wynantskill, NY, several nieces and nephews, and two grandchildren.
Services: Memorial services were held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at her home with her family, friends, and clergy in attendance.
