Obituary

Harrison went home to the Lord on 12/21/14 after a
long battle with cancer. Anyone who ever had the
pleasure of meeting Harrison came to respect and
love him. He was a gentle soul who will be missed by
all who knew him. He was surrounded by his loving
family when the Lord came and took him home.
Harrison is survived by his loving son Patrick (Carol)
Coon, grandchildren Robin and Kevin Coon and great
grandson Mathew Coon. He was preceded in death by
his brother Richard Coon, stepson Lawrence (Larry)
Stone. His also survived by Larry's widow Renee,
children Kyle, Ryan and Ty Stone, his step daughter
Carol Stone, grandchildren Steven (Tiffany) Wade,
great grandsons Braydon, Zachary and David Wade,
grandson Brian (Christina) Smith, great grandsons
Adam and Landon Smith. He is also survived by his
grandson Shawn Ramsey, his wife Katherine Coon
who loves him dearly. He will be missed by his sister
Grace, sister-in-law Bonnie, numerous nieces and
nephews and of course anyone who knew him.
He was born in Manlius, New York to William and
Winifred Coon, but moved to the Treasure Coast in
1967. A true Florida Transplant, he never considered
moving away again. He was a well-respected master
finish carpenter in Indian River County and retired
from Croom Construction Company after adding his
distinctive style and craftsmanship to many houses in
John's Island. Harrison was a veteran of the Korean
War but most notably he was a family man.
