Obituary

Harry S. Hirst, 79, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.  Born on February 6, 1944 in Watertown, NY he was a son of the late Ethel (Dyer) & Raymond Hirst.  Harry married Gail Partridge of Clayton, NY and they enjoyed 29 years of marriage.
He attended Watertown City School and went through the 8th grade, leaving school to work to help his parents.  Harry did many things, he worked at the Watertown Daily Times as a janitor and night watchman; Borders Milk Plant in Watertown as a foreman in the pack room, as a cheese cook &  tester, helping in the warehouse and unloaded trucks; Crowley Foods in LaFargeville, NY as a machine operator and in the warehouse, helping however he could.  Harry came from a large family.  He loved spending time with family and friends doing the things they loved to do together... bowling, attending car shows and hunting with his brothers and son for over 60 years!  He and his wife Gail enjoyed watching movies & WWF wrestling together as well as having good conversations about everything under the sun.  They would go to the Syracuse State Fair and Lowville Fair and watch the tractor pulls, car demolition derbies, and truck pulls while rooting for their favorites to win.  Harry loved the Lord and enjoyed their talks most of all.  Harry served the Lord as a board member at Adams Assembly of God in Adams, NY.
He and Gail moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 2015 to best enjoy their retirement years.
He is survived by his wife, Gail; son, Steve Hirst and his significant other Sue Greene; daughter, Kimberly Arroyo and her husband Dave; grandchildren, Sage Arroyo, Xander Arroyo, Christopher Hirst, Brittany Hirst, Makayla (Hirst) Broadfoot and her husband Jonathan, Alyssa Parker and her husband Joshua; 2 great grandchildren, Pearl Parker and Remi Parker; and a host of nieces & nephews.  In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by seven brothers, Robert, William, Albert, John, Edwin, Cody, and Andrew and two sisters, Marianne Clarke and Olie Adams.
