Harry Hamilton Mayne's Obituary
Harry Hamilton Mayne, 86 of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach surrounded by his family.
Mr. Mayne was born May 24, 1924 in Lockport, NY and moved to Vero Beach 22 years ago from Simsbury, CT. He had a Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University and a Masters of Business degree from Michigan State University. During WWII, Mr. Mayne served with the US army in the Philippines and Japan.
He was a Mechanical Engineer with Jacobs Manufacturing in Bloomfield, CT. He held several patents for innovative mechanical engineering designs. Mr. Mayne was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero Beach, TKE Fraternity and The Vero Beach Country Club.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Susan Campbell Mayne, son Christopher (Donna Baase) of Boulder, CO, daughter, Sarah (Kurt) Stadele of Alpharetta, GA. and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on September 4th, 2010 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
